Meet Erin

A dog lover first, photographer second.

I grew up in the suburbs of Seattle surrounded by Basset Hounds and the occasional stray one of us would bring home.

After shooting a number of subjects including kids, families, and weddings, I struggled to find shooting what I absolutely loved.  After much frustration and soul searching I had an "aha!" moment.  I decided to ditch everything I didn't love shooting and focused entirely on capturing dogs.  My life has never been the same.

In 2010, I took a break from the busy life of photographing dogs and their people to focus on being a Mom.  To say that it has been easy to get that creative spark back would be an understatement. In fact, I still struggle to find the time to focus on what I love the most ... photographing dogs.

In April of 2015, our well-known and well-loved Great Dane, Gracie passed away after a beautiful and full life.  She lives on through the most precious images we have of her, both alone and with her little sisters (Maggie - 11 and Cassie - 9).  I'm asked daily "When are you getting another dog"?   The most honest answer I can give is that we just aren't ready yet.

In my spare time (if any), I am passionate about connecting with friends, spending time in the sun, and daily yoga.

Thank you for following along on this journey with me.

Warmly,

Erin
