Pug in the City

Snack is definitely a City Girl. She lives on Queen Anne and has the very hard decision of deciding what to do each day.

Hang out on my ultra modern, very fun, orange couch?

Play with my Squirrel or go for a walk?

I think I’ll stick with my favorite activity of all. Eating. Or waiting to eat. Or thinking about eating. The girl loves her food!

Ginger

I spent an absolutely beautiful day shooting on Whidbey Island this weekend. I rarely get the chance to visit the islands so I gladly accepted the invitation.

As I drove up the driveway, 4 deer crossed in front of my car and a rabbit followed along after them. I realized I wasn’t in the city anymore and it was glorious.

You really can’t go anywhere without seeing all the incredible sailboats scattered on the water. Ginger enjoyed all the wonderful smells that come with living on the Puget Sound.

She enjoyed it so much, she layed right down in the water!

You can take the dog out of the city, but it doesn’t take away their instinct to roll on dead things and hunt for rodents :)

Such a fun day!

Good Morning Gracie

Poor Gracie girl had a bug this week and woke us up every hour on Wednesday night to go outside. I am happy to report that she is now on the mend, and lucky for my husband, everything is solid again.

I rarely shoot in the morning but since I had to go outside and make sure Gracie was 100% better, I decided to bring my camera along. That actually sounds pretty wrong … I didn’t take THOSE kind of pictures. I was happy to see the sun rising and decided to do some shots of Gracie. She was patrolling for cats and squirrels, of course.

An itch!

Late July + Early August are Gracie’s favorite months because her favorite game is “annoy the bees in the lavendar.” The bees are safe as long as they are on a stem but as soon as they decide to venture off they are fair game. Here you can see both the wrinkles (my fave) and her famous flying lips.

She goes back and forth between the two bushes.

Here is a shot from her time with the bees last year.

Then she got all freaky on me and spotted something in between the 2 cushions. She wouldn’t stop with the nose so I just kept shooting.

She makes me laugh daily.

Lately

Lots of really amazing stuff is coming in to the studio lately. Every day is like Christmas for me!

I was doing some product shots yesterday before I package up the orders and thought I would share a shot of these ADORABLE cards! I love cards because they go out into the world and spread dog happiness to everyone.

I also had to share this 24″ x 36″ Canvas. It looks pretty spectacular!
