I have shot a lot of older dogs lately.
I really love older dogs. They tend to get sweeter with age, are pretty much set in their ways, and love to lay around all day.
Brandy was no exception. She was in her favorite spot (right by her Mom) on the couch. She has such a gentle soul.
After we finished our trailer park shoot, I wanted to do one more concept. I was actually hesitant to hit the road with the girl, the dress, and the dog because I had already done it before, but the green dress was just begging to be paired with the yellow line in the road, so I broke my own internal rule and went back.
Besides, my little country road and I have a special relationship.
This is my favorite image from the shoot so I thought I would show it in both versions because they each take on a really different feel.

Well. What can I say? Winter has hit with full force which means it gets dark at 3 pm and is raining solid.
So what is a girl to do when it is dark out and a Great Dane is following her around the house?
A Series!
So far I think I have done the Peanut Butter Series (my fave) and The Flashlight Series. This one wasn’t planned but it quickly turned into The Gum Series. I always have some form of Extra Gum in my mouth, which is great because a lot of the time I use it as a way to get the attention of dogs. No dog I know can deny The Gum.
So I cranked up the 5D to ISO 3200 and sat on the stairs with G.

She may be losing her marbles a bit (or maybe I am), but she is my girl and always, always, always makes me laugh.
