Pretty Against Pink

Just another example of the ridiculously rough life that Miss Gracie leads.

Loves Dad

I find it fascinating how dogs have different relationships with different members of the family.

Gracie L-O-V-E-S her Daddy. The minute he gets home from work she races to the toy basket to present him with Ozzie, Shelly, or Johnson. All toys that we have named over time.

Tangent: Am I the only one that has names for all the toys? I can’t help it. Her first toy was Monkey and I really had a special fondness for Blue Cow, who we found on the street during one of our walks. The smaller the toy the better so she can hide it in her mouth so that no one sees it. I love that girl.

Anyways, it takes a lot to get my better half in front of the camera, but I begged and pleaded for a little modeling while I was renting the lights. We tried to get Gracie to sit like a nice girl but she wasn’t having any of it. So although you probably didn’t notice it at first, you have to appreciate the death grip he has on her chest. She took advantage of the moment to give Dad a big stinky kiss. We love her.

Studio Wrap Up

Hey party people, tomorrow is the last day to enter the contest! If you are a professional procrastinator (like me) knock it out today or tomorrow!

I upgraded to CS4 this weekend and am enjoying some of the new features. Give me a little more time to work in it and I’ll post what I like and don’t like about it.

Please send all your good thoughts to Anna Kuperberg today. Her precious Venus (a Great Dane) bloated, had surgery, and is now in recovery. Bloat is my biggest fear with Gracie and is a very scary thing. Get well Venus!

Let’s wrap up the studio work from this past weekend with Miss Gracie on white paper.

We’re big fans of the flying lips around here. Dane owners know exactly what I’m talking about :)

Mischief at 5

Trivia Question: Who ate an entire tub of vaseline this morning, including the jar and half the lid?

Hint: Her name rhymes with Tracie.

At 5 years old, I expect more, but her tendency for mischief is only increasing. Just 2 nights ago we caught her long neck extended over the kitchen counter eating our freshly smoked chicken.

I think I need another one :)

Caught in the act of attacking the umbrella!
