During my last tour of the Humane Society I learned that not only are they a no kill shelter but the average stay for a dog is only 1 week! If dogs are not adopted, they are then placed into foster homes until they can find a forever home.
As a puppy, Chopper was dropped off at the Humane Society with a broken leg. It was assumed that his owner couldn’t pay for the surgery. Due to the severity, his leg had to be amputated.
His Mom + Dad had been serving as Foster Parents for the Humane Society for awhile but each dog was just not meant to live in their home…until Chopper came. He was full of life and had lots of love to give. He had found his forever home.
Here are some pages from his story. The rest can be seen on my website.
