i think my favorite part of this photo is the fact that you can see the edges of the backdrop behind them… that little imperfection makes it so much more REAL, and therefore so much more perfect in an ironic sort of way.

…and the little kiss for her daddy is pretty cute too ;)

I laughed out loud when you said you name your toys, because I just pulled “Mr. Bear” out of the washing machine! Our dane, Bristol, loves that bear… we joke that its like her “Busy Bee” from Best in Show :)

No names for our toys… only because they don’t last long enough to get named. My dogs are noted toy destroyers.

Erin I am in LOVE with your work. I am working on developing my own style right now, and and currently lean more towards studio. This shot is AWESOME. What kind of equipment are you using right now? And camera if you don’t mind me asking?

Gracie is wonderful. My chocolate lab, Bear, also sits for his “portrait sessions”, sometimes for an hour at a time, for nothing more than a few nice treats. Isn’t it wonderful how they help us practice? Unfortunatly my fiance is not so cooperative :)

We also don’t name toys, because their usually destroyed too fast

All our toys have names too! She’ll even search the house for the one we’ve asked for. I love the look in Gracie’s eyes as she looks up at her daddy.

Of course you name the toys! Ours are Sullie, Mike, Belew (yep, they’re the stuffed movie characters), blue puppy, “duck, duck, goose” and tumbler. I’m glad someone else’s other half hates to be in front of the lens. :)
