The Chai Story

There are a few things I have come to believe as truths in my life:

1) If you are willing to work hard enough for something, you can achieve it.
2) One person can make a difference.

Are you willing to spend a few short minutes to read this completely horrific and heartbreaking story?

Are you someone who has connections to make sure that a recall takes place?

I have to believe that there is at least one person that reads this small little blog that can help to make this happen.

It would mean the world to so many pet owners. Put yourself in the place of Chai’s owners and think about what you would do if you were in their place. It is absolutely imperative that this does not happen to another pet.

Ever.

Welcome

Who needs a Welcome Mat when you can have a Welcome Head?

The Welcome Head is great at keeping solicitors away or people trying to convince us to vote republican.

The Welcome Head is seasonal as well. It makes a great Halloween decoration and during the Holidays we paint the nose red!

A Letter

Dear Greta,

I think I love you.

You are only 10 months old and the biggest, sweetest, lovable girl I have ever met. Well, the second biggest, sweetest, lovable girl … the first being Miss Gracie (of course).

If I thought I could have gotten away with it, I would have packed you up in my car and taken you home with me.

I have a thing for big dogs you know.

Don’t let anyone tell you that you are too big, or too slobbery, or too hairy … because they’re just jealous of your supreme gorgeousness.

Love,
Erin

(P.S. Your tongue RULES!)

My Way

This weekend I shot Katie’s Bridal pictures (of Ben + Katie). They are getting married in Texas next month and she wanted to do Bridal’s before the wedding.

Bridal’s aren’t very common in the Pacific Northwest, so I really didn’t have that much (or any) experience to draw from. Let me rephrase that…I had NO idea what the hell I was doing. When that happens, I just go with my gut and do things my way.

I think her Mom was going to have a heart attack when I told her daughter to RUN in her dress in the MIDDLE of the road. When that happens, I usually know I am on the right track :)

Their Bond

Al + his Dad have been together for 13 years. Mom hired me to capture the connection between the two of them. It was actually a surprise and he didn’t know who I was until a few minutes before I got there.

Getting into the business of capturing the connection between Dogs and their owners is definitely a tricky one. Not everyone has the same relationship with their dog, and sadly enough, some people don’t really have that strong of a connection at all (this is rare). That being said, I can’t ever go into a situation expecting one thing, because I most certainly always end up with something else.

I can only hope that I did their relationship justice. It’s a very special one.
