Sam in Motion

Sam’s first swim was the perfect series of images to animate.

You truly had to be there to experience how funny it was, but hopefully you’ll get a taste of what it was like by watching these together.

You’ll probably have to let it load completely first, especially if you have a slow connection, but it is worth it :)

Would you like to give it a shot? Here is a great tutorial that walks you through the steps. If you create one, send it over, I would love to see it!

Friday Goodies

Lots of random things on my mind today. How about a little bit of this and that?

FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS

If you are in Photoshop as much as I am, there are certain things that you do repeatedly. One of them is Flattening layers. Instead of going up to the Menu bar and selecting Layer/Flatten, save yourself some time and create your own action that flattens the layers for you. Even better, assign that action a keyboard shortcut! Your wrist will thank you.

Dawn Mikulich, an awesome photographer from Chicago, has me spending yet again more money on fun things. Check out the the post on her blog complete with images of her fancy new keyboard decor!

If you landed at Photojojo, then you may as well just add the magnetic photo rope to your shopping cart because it is the coolest thing ever.

DOG LOVERS

If you haven’t been over to Pampered Puppy yet, make sure you bookmark their site. Gracie looks forward to getting her newsletter each month!

Have you met Chuck + Coco yet? Their Mama is Dooce. This video makes me want to go out and get myself a puppy right now just so I could watch the endless entertainment.

PERSONAL

Hey did you see the little splash of red that I added? Bark! was needing a little color around here and I thought red was nice and spicy.

I love weddings. I especially love being a wedding guest. We haven’t been to a wedding in ages because all our friends are now married. But I am excited to second shoot with Seattle’s very own Michelle Moore this July.

If I was brave enough to get in front of the camera for another photographer, then I would hire Sean Flanigan, because I adore his work and his portraits are nothing short of incredible. Lucky for me he is in Seattle, but I’m not brave enough yet :)

I am in love with the Roomba that we recently bought. My husband came home the other day and I said “Look! I am cooking and vacuuming all at the same time!”

Hey, I need a new printer + a new scanner, so why can’t I combine the two into one? Does anyone have a good recommendation for me?

What fun is a post without a picture? Here is a great one of my niece (left) and her friends from last weekend. Too cute!

A Poll

In an effort to get to know who my readers are, would you all mind letting me know via an anonymous poll?

And if you’re in the voting mood, let me know what you would like to see more of on bark!

Daisy + Kona + Mom = True Love

A very warm (and fun) Saturday resulted in images that I know their Mom is going to cherish for a long time to come.

[I only have one more spot open for San Diego at the end of July. Email me soon if interested!]

I totally dig this shot. It isn’t for everyone, I’m sure, but it just speaks to me.

A Bond

What I love more than anything about my clients is that they truly love their dogs.

From the moment I meet them I can feel the love.

Nelson is truly loved.

This shot might be my favorite from the session. It just makes me smile every time I look at it.
