April Charity

My main goal in 2008 is to give back to organizations that benefit animals. The best and only way I know how to do this is through my photographs.

On the 1st of every month, 4 new images will be available for purchase.

With each month, a new charity will be highlighted and 100% of the print profits will go directly to the charity. This is a great way for you to purchase art as well as give back.

If you know of a great animal focused organization that could benefit, please email me their name and website and they will be considered for the next month.

Each 5 X 7 print is expertly prepared and printed onto gorgeous Metallic Paper and mounted onto styrene, resulting in a beautiful piece of artwork that can proudly be displayed in your home. Each time you look at it, you’ll be reminded of the difference you made in an animal’s life.

The organization for April is Waggin’ Tails Dog Rescue, Inc.

“Our goals are simple - save as many abandoned, abused, and neglected dogs possible; provide them environments in which to rehabilitate their souls and find them a home that will love and cherish them for the rest of their lives.”

For more information on Waggin’ Tails, please click here.

These images are going to look amazing on Metallic Paper. To purchase, please visit erinvey.com/g.

Correct use of the training leash is important, not only during training sessions, but at all times. Always having a loop over your thumb and your hand closed into a fist, prevents even the strongest dog from unexpectedly jerking the leash through your fingers and breaking free. Whether it’s the hand-loop or a loop formed by marrying the leash over your thumb, the result is the same. Pulling on the leash merely causes your grip to tighten

Do you do photography for hire? Like could someone hire you to photograph there pet(s)? If yes how could they get a hold of you? Thanks for the info.

  3. Your work is absolutely fabulous! Thank you so much for contributing the profits from your print sales for the month of April to our rescue group. It means so much to all of us and will be a great help to our many dogs in need. Your generosity is so sincerely appreciated Erin.

  4. Will you ship up to Canada?!

OMG! My breath has been taken away! I am really excited because my company is moving at the end of this week and I have a new space to call my own that I want to decorate with pictures. I can’t think of anything I would rather look at all day than your beautiful pictures. The best part is it is supporting the rescue I volunteer with. Thanks so much for doing this for us and all the other rescue organizations that are always in need of funding!! I will be placing my order!!!

Dear Erin, I understand that you are looking for organizations that benefit animals. I do have a list of
groups and individuals that I’d be happy to submit to you. These are NYC area based. Please let me know if you are interested, and I’d be happy to send the contact list to you. Where are you located? Keep up with your good work.

i’m so happy to see that not only are you a great dane loving wonderful photographer, but that you are also invested in animal welfare. There are two animal organizations that I hold near and dear to my heart: Best Friends Animal Sanctuary (www.bestfriends.org) and Rolling Dog Ranch (www.rollingdogranch.org). The former is pretty large and well-known, but that doesn’t make it less worthy of attention. It focuses a lot on “unadoptables,” but really makes a difference in a number of ways. Rolling Dog Ranch focuses on animals with disabilities. Many of the critters there are blind, deaf, both, or have some other medical ailment that makes it difficult for them to be adopted or cared for.

On the more local side, we adopted our little Golden Retriever girl from RAGOM–Retrieve a Golden of Minnesota (www.ragom.org). They have a great local presence, and have been actively involved in shutting down several puppy mills in the upper midwest region. I’d also nominate my Great Dane rescue group in Houston, TX, but they are currently defunct.

Personally, I will be participating in our local Animal Humane Society’s Walk for Animals next month. (You can see more about that on my blog). They are also a great group, sponsoring everything from adoptathons to therapy dog training.

Thanks again for your kind heart and spirit.
